Mrs. Lee's Literacy Lovers
- C. S. Lewis
Three more weeks, friends! WooHoo! We have a fun, but busy, week coming up in reading class. On Monday, Mr. Lindell from the ASAP program will be speaking to all my reading classes on the importance of staying substance-abuse free. On Tuesday, we will be doing a very fun (surprise) lesson with Mrs. Mosley in the library. Wednesday is really when we will begin talking about reading skills. I know that doesn't seem like much time for a test on Friday, but the skills we are covering have been covered time and time again this year. Our two big skills will be cause & effect and context clues. Cause and Effect was our skill last week as well; therefore, visit last week's post for helpful videos. I will still include some "context clues" links at the bottom so you can practice at home. Also, AR goals are due by Friday, May 12th. Some students haven't even taken a test this nine weeks. This is such an easy way for students to earn bonus, so please encourage them to take advantage of that opportunity.
