Happy Friday...and happy LONG weekend! Students received next week's study guide today because we will be out on Monday. Information about AR goals also came home today. Students will have an entire nine weeks to achieve those goals. There was also information about AR bonus points (woop woop!)
This upcoming week in reading, we will be diving into some biographies. I love this genre, and I hope y'all will as well! We'll also be reviewing how to summarize a text and how to use paragraph clues. Our new skill is Cause and Effect. There are some awesome (and fun!) resources on cause and effect in the helpful links section today. PLEASE take advantage of those. :) ***I stopped posting language updates here because I only have 24 students in my language class. All of the 6th grade teachers are not on the same skill or spelling words in our language program, so I didn't want to confuse anyone by posting a language skill or words to study. If your child is in my language class and ever wants extra practice, please let me know!*** Helpful Links Context Clues Practice Game Link to TONS of context clues printables! Jackpot!
