Mrs. Lee's Literacy Lovers
- C. S. Lewis
Friends, I can't believe how quickly we have made it to this point. The year seemed to fly by! These last few weeks will be filled with "End of the Year" ceremonies and activities; therefore, schedules will be flexible. On the days when classes meet, we'll be completing some interactive journal entries on character analysis, tone, and mood. These lessons will be based around art and interesting short stories that I think the students will love! We are officially done with reading tests (YAY!!!), but we will still have a couple of classwork grades before the end of the year. With all of that being said, this will be my final post of the school year. Parents, thank you for sharing your children with me each day. I think they've taught me more than I've taught them. And kiddos, if you are reading this, please know that just as any student I've had before, you will always hold a special place in my heart. I have some final pieces of advice for you as you move into 7th grade and the rest of your life. Please be kind. Remember that words/actions can have a lasting impact. You can apologize, but you can never fully take something back once its been said or done. Also, remember to BELIEVE IN YOURSELF. I've watched so many of you not complete assignments, lay your heads down in defeat, sigh in frustration, and the list goes on. So. Change your mindset. Change the question you ask yourself. Say THIS: Finally, always remember that your teachers love you, and we're rooting for you...even when it may not seem like it.
As always, thanks for visiting! Happy last days of 6th grade! :) ~ Mrs. Lee
